ASSIGNMENT: CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
After reading chapter 2, observing PE classes, and taking part in PE activities as a student, create a classroom management plan for use in your movement lessons. Use the rubric we created in class to guide you in terms of the other elements of quality. In creating this document, it will be helpful for you to think through the entire lesson from the viewpoint of the most challenging student in your class. By doing so, you will be able to eliminate distractions and confusions, and therefore prevent 90% of the possible management issues.
Once you have created your plan, consider a few of the management issues that concern you most, and check to see if your management plan deals with them, or better yet, prevents them.
Your management plan should be sure to include at least all of the following elements:
v Routines and Rules
v Student Involvement
v Assessing Behavior
v Social Skill Development
